Know your #tag from your Facebook?

Don't worry, you're not alone! Using social media to communicate is fairly new to many of us but it's something to embrace and not be afraid of - it can work very effectively to your advantage!

It is vital that sports clubs and voluntary groups maximise the potential of these often free tools to communicate with existing and NEW members. There is so much that can be done with little effort and it is the way forward!

Kingston Voluntary Action are running a short course for complete beginners called 'Getting Started with Social Media'. It will be held on 6th November from 10am to 4.30pm and costs just £50. Full details and an application form are available from Sanja Kane, 020 8255 3335 or e.mailtraining@kva.org.uk. Places are going fast so be quick!

Covering topics such as 'evidencing need' and 'calculating the real costs of your project' the course is delivered by Julie Hunt who has raised millions of pounds for hundreds of charities.

The course costs £50 and will run from 10am to 2pm at the Access Learning Centre. Full information is available from Sanja Kane at KVA on 020 8255 3335 or e.mail training@kva.org.uk
