Kingston Wheelers Cycling Club at Surbiton
Kingston Wheelers Cycling Club was founded in 1924. The club membership comes from all over South West London, Surrey and beyond, we are one of the largest cycling clubs in the UK. Whether members are commuting, touring, time trailing, racing or just plain cycling for the fun of it, Kingston Wheelers exists so we can share our enthusiasm for sport in all forms.
The club members meet regularly, both on and off the bike and with such a large membership there is something for everyone. In addition to the traditional Sunday morning club rides, the members organises trips abroad to ride cyclosportive events like the Etape du Tour and the Tour of Flanders. We host events throughout the year with a Club Championship for new and experienced racers. A skills day on a closed circuit track to improve skills of all members who attend, there is also at least one track day trip for those who wish to experience track riding.
We host a number of events for the cycling community, these mostly revolve around Surrey League road races, time trails both internal club and open events, this includes a hill climb competition on Leith Hill, well know for it's inclusion in the Olympic route. All club members volunteer to help put on these events and they can be a great way to meet people, ride to the event together and socialise, most importantly have some coffee and cake.
Throughout the year, some members take part in time trials, road races and other competitive events. At the end of the year there are club trophies up for grabs for members in a wide range of events. These trophies are awarded at our annual prize presentation and lunch at the end of the year.

British Cycling is the National Governing Body for the sport of Cycling.
HQ Address: British Cycling,
Stuart Street,
Manchester M11 4DQ

British Cycling is one of the world’s leading national governing bodies thanks to our ability to harness mass participation from international success.

The organisation oversees all forms of cycling in Britain. Whether you are a competitor in one of the six sporting disciplines, (BMX, mountain bike, cyclo-cross, road, track and cycle speedway) a personal challenge rider, a commuter or a leisurely weekend rider, we are committed to helping you enjoy cycling.

British Cycling has set the standard by which elite sporting success in this country is measured with unparalleled Olympic, Paralympic and major championships success, cementing our status as one of the strongest nations in competitive cycling.

We administer the sporting calendars in all domestic cycle sport and oversee cycling’s development across all disciplines, helping to ensure those who want to race can do so in a competitive and compelling environment.

Away from competition, we continue to encourage millions of people to ride their bikes throughour recreational programmes, all suited to meet an individual’s preferred form of cycling. We are also working hard to inspire the next generation of cyclists through our work with schools and community clubs to ensure that more young people are taking up the sport than ever before.

All of this is against a backdrop of increased political influence as we look to represent our 100,000-strong membership. We lobby local and national government to make a sustained and resolute commitment to improving conditions for cyclists in order to ensure that Britain becomes a true cycling nation.
